Photographic Style
Creative and original reportage coverage, documenting feeling and activity with a storytelling thread
Mindful of regular family focus and still-life details throughout, plus cute quirks and fine art direction suggested where inspired.
Couple portraits are gently directed and create subtly romantic shots in the most flattering natural light conditions. Group shots are minimal and relaxed with a few simple games to ooze life into them.
Post-Production
15-year industry professional
All shots are carefully edited, colour balanced and individually enhanced (with Capture One Pro) by an industry professional Digital Operator - see ABOUT section ; ) They are mainly processed in a colour format although black and white tonal tweaks are applied where seen more effective.
Your set of photographs are available 4-6 weeks after your wedding and initially presented to you in a beautiful online gallery, resolution optimised for digital distribution.
High-end retouching is not usually necessary, however it is available on request and outsourced to trusted industry friends of this specialism, by quotation.
Your final set of photographs follow shortly after, presented on a portable USB flash drive in the post, in the highest .jpeg resolution optimised for printing. This is your treasured hard copy to make lots of additional backups from! No novel flash drives - instead high-speed performance, quality & reliability of industry-leading brand SanDisk. No fancy packaging - all recyclable.
All photographs are copyright released for your personal use.
Fine art prints and handmade fine art books of your photographs are available.

A full day’s coverage of up to 12 hours usually covers an essence of everything, from your getting ready anticipation to a buzzing atmosphere on the dance floor ! An added ‘town hall ceremony’ on a prior day, an ‘evening before soirée’ or a ‘day after fête’ are possible extras, around 3 hours coverage.
Any shorter periods of wedding day coverage are considered on weekdays and off-season (November to April weekends), from 6 hours coverage, with extra hours possible.
For low incomes with a real appreciation of my work, exchange proposals are respectfully considered.
Everything of importance and creative interest will be captured and shared, so you can expect thorough coverage with a whopping 1400+ final photographs received (for a full day’s coverage).
A thorough recce will be carried out of your location/s the day prior. In order to familiarise and source the most promising spots for your directed shots (with weather permitting back-up options if it's looking iffy), ensuring adaptable smooth flow on your wedding day.
Your family & bridal party relationships are discussed in preparation for the understanding of a ‘who’s who’ focus importance from the off, and their names are learnt for friendly use throughout the day.
All kit usage (Canon top prime lenses, bodies, backup gear, Mac high spec computers, Phase One and Adobe software, LaCie hard drive archiving, etc), public liability and indemnity insurance, preparation and 40+ hours of post-production, are all included.
Travel expenses within Greater London / Southwest of France are included. For weddings much further afield although within the UK / France, there is a fair travel and accommodation fee considered. A travelling motorhome is available in France and so accommodation costs are often very low.
For weddings out of the UK / France, although within Europe, please consider travel, a minimum of 3 nights accommodation expenses and a production fee.
An advance deposit confirms your date in my diary.
